HERA

The curse of Hera is one of the most enduring and haunting tales from Greek mythology. It encapsulates themes of jealousy, vengeance, and divine punishment, illustrating how the gods’ personal grudges could shape the destinies of mortals and immortals alike. This curse, rooted in the complex personality of Hera, the queen of the Olympian gods, serves as a cautionary tale about the destructive power of envy and wrath. Over centuries, this myth has influenced literature, art, and cultural narratives, emphasising the profound psychological and societal implications of divine retribution.

The golden cage was a magical prison used to trap and utilise her power. Ultimately marriage becomes Hera’s cage: a denial of her rightful place as a worthy victor and daughter of Rhea, the mother goddess.

I am very unsure about the colour of the goddess, because of the implications of her being inside a cage (mythical or not) and am currently making her white and gold as the other figures.
