Greek mythology is full of fascinating, terrifying and majestic creatures that served as obstacles or companions to heroes and gods. Ranging from genetically modified beasts to dragons, these creatures sit at the centre of many Greek myths. I am particularly interested in these:
Cyclopes: Giant beings with a single, prominent eye in the middle of their foreheads. They were legendary craftsmen who forged Zeus’s thunderbolts,
Pegasus: A divine, winged white horse born from the blood of Medusa. He was famously tamed by the hero Bellerophon to defeat the Chimera,
Centaur: Creatures with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a horse,
Gorgons: Three monstrous sisters with sharp fangs, brazen claws, and living venomous snakes for hair. The most famous, Medusa, could turn anyone who looked into her eyes to stone.
Cyclopes surveillance camera
Echoing the dystopian theme of Cracked Myths my Cyclopes will have a single surveillance camera eye to echo the cameras on the pillars dominating the landscape. They are one-eyed giant, smiths, or shepherds. Here they are in their fired, but not glazed stage and if you look closely you cans the surveillance camera eye which ultimately will be glazed dark blue. These surveillance camera eyes will also be found in:
1. surveillance cameras attached to the destroyed Graceo Roman pillars
2. the oversized spectacles of the goddess Clio reading her Cracked Myths book.
